Chelsea Handler was born on born February 25, 1975, in Livingston, New Jersey. She is the daughter of Rita, her mother who is a homemaker, and Seymour Handler, her father, who is a second-hand car dealer. Chelsea has a mixed ethnic background as her American father was Ashkenazi Jewish. Furthermore, her mother was born in Germany who came to the United States in 1958 and is a follower of Christianity( Mormon). Chelsea Handler lost her mother in 2006. Unfortunately, her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and battled the illness for approximately 15 years. Handler was raised with reformed Jewish beliefs and ideal and had a Bat Mitzvah ceremony. It is a ceremony that is done to specify the age of religious maturity.
